Maximise the workspace, minimise the ribbon – Office 2007

When using Word or the other Office applications I sometimes need a little more space on the page to see the whole document.

One way is to reduce the size of the page by moving the zoom slider but did you know you can also minimise the Ribbon toolbar at the top of the page.

To minimise the Ribbon toolbar move the mouse over a tab in the Ribbon, such as Home, Insert etc. Then double click on the tab.
Double click a tab
The Ribbon minimises hiding all the tools.
The ribbon is minimised
To maximise the Ribbon just double click on the tab again and all the tools reappear.
